Alor Veneer Panel is designed for cabinetry fabrication across a range of applications, including cabinetry doors, drawer fronts, side and end panels, light-duty shelving, and feature wall and ceiling panelling. As a facade product with a Moisture Resistant MDF core, Alor can also be used in carcass construction where design continuity is required, provided all cut edges are sealed or edge banded to prevent moisture ingress. Each application carries its own requirements around environmental control, heat clearances, and moisture detailing, all of which are addressed in full within the Design, Fabrication & Installation Guide.

Intended uses: residential cabinetry, commercial fit-out and commercial development cabinetry (in accordance with defined limitations)
Panels must be fully sealed, or edge banded at all cut edges — unsealed MDF core exposure is not covered by warranty
Not suitable for wet areas (bathrooms, laundries) or environments where relative humidity is expected to exceed 70% (e.g. saunas, pool rooms)
Not suitable as a working, sanitary or food preparation surface, including kitchen benchtops
Integrated appliances (e.g. range hoods) require appropriate clearances and ventilation per manufacturer specifications and NZBC guidance

Timber veneer panels themselves carry genuine environmental advantages over solid timber. Because only a 0.6mm veneer layer is solid hardwood, Alor uses a fraction of the timber resource required for a solid timber panel of the same dimensions — alongside a Super E0 formaldehyde emission rating, a long lifespan, and the ability to be recycled or repurposed at end of life.
